3 Players Tottenham Could Sign On Deadline Day

Date:

Tottenham are currently 6 points away from 4th place, and considering how inconsistent they’ve been this season, they need to bolster multiple areas of their squad in order to have a realistic chance of securing a top four finish come the end of the season.

On that note, here’s a look at 3 players Tottenham could sign before the end of the day;

Gareth Bale

Tottenham are in dire need of some attacking reinforcements. If Spurs are to have any chance of making it into the top four, they need to sign a player capable of finding the back of the net on a consistent basis.

Gareth Bale could be that player for Spurs. Having already made a name for himself at the club, he could make his long-awaited return and lead Tottenham to a top four finish.

In terms of raw pace, power and skill, there aren’t many players on Bale’s level. With mere hours left in the transfer window Tottenham could push for a move for the Welshman.

Boubakary Soumare

Lille wonderkid Soumare was the subject of a bid from Newcastle earlier in the day, however, he rejected the offer.

He’s probably keen on signing for a much bigger club with more ambition – on that note, Tottenham fits the bill perfectly.

Tottenham might be going through a mini-rut, but they’re still only six points away from 4th-placed Chelsea, hence they could still qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Boubakary could come into Spurs’ midfield, help them secure a top four finish and make his name known across the Premier League and Europe.

Soumare is an incredibly physical midfielder who also boasts of great technical qualities. He’s a rare type of player, hence Spurs would do well to make a move for him before the transfer window closes.

Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake would be a great addition to Tottenham’s ageing defensive set-up. The Dutch international has gained a ton of experience in his two-year stint at Bournemouth, making him a solid centre-back capable of featuring for any top Premier League side.

He’s agile, great on the ball, and most importantly, he possesses great defensive awareness. Ake is one of the best young centre-backs in the Premier League, so Spurs would do well to bolster their squad with him going into the final four months of the Premier League campaign.
