Liverpool have been struggling to agree on a deal with RB Leipzig all summer for their highly rated central midfielder Naby Keita. The Reds have made two very generous bids for the Guinean international but have seen both turned down, they’ve now tabled a third ‘take it or leave it’ bid, and should that offer be rejected, here are five players Liverpool can sign instead of Keita.

Hector Herrera found his form at the end of last season and impressed in his two appearances at the Confederation Cup this summer.
He is a classic central midfielder who likes to do it all. He can tackle, pass well and likes to dribble past opponents. On top of his quality, he would bring with him Champions League experience, which will prove vital as Liverpool return to Europe’s prestigious tournament this season.
