Liverpool have been struggling to agree on a deal with RB Leipzig all summer for their highly rated central midfielder Naby Keita. The Reds have made two very generous bids for the Guinean international but have seen both turned down, they’ve now tabled a third ‘take it or leave it’ bid, and should that offer be rejected, here are five players Liverpool can sign instead of Keita.
1Marcelo Brozovic, Inter Milan
The Croatian is used primarily as a box-to-box midfielder at Inter Milan but is incredibly versatile in the heart of midfield. He can play as a CDM, CM, CAM or even as a wide attacking man.
Brozovic would bring a real calmness to the side with his composure, concentration and accurate passing. The 24-year-old scored four goals and managed two assists in Serie A despite a poor season for the Milan side.
