Before the 2017/18 Premier League season kicked off, Everton were seen as potential outsiders for a place in the top four following a number of impressive additions during the summer. However, it has been a remarkably poor start to the season for the Toffees under the management of Ronald Koeman, and they are in desperate need of three points to stop the rot.

As for Arsenal, it has been a fairly average start to the season by their high standards. They are currently sat in sixth place, level on points with Chelsea but already find themselves nine points behind league leaders Manchester City. Arsene Wenger will be hoping his side can find a way into the top four in the next few weeks.

We take a look at five players who could potentially have a significant influence on the outcome of Sunday’s match between these two sides.

The 21-year-old forward was given a place in the starting line-up last weekend by Wenger which highlights how much he has impressed in the early stages of the season. He has already scored one goal this season in the 2-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion a couple of weeks ago, and he arguably should have scored more. He is a very difficult player to defend against when he is at the top of his game, and he could undoubtedly cause Everton’s defence problems on Sunday should he be given another chance to impress.
