Juventus had a fantastic season last term as they won the domestic double. They won the Serie A title with a four-point gap between themselves and Roma as well as the Coppa Italia where they beat Lazio 2-0. They also went all the way to the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, although they were comfortably beaten by Zinedine Zidane’s side.
The four goals they conceded in the final in Cardiff were more than they conceded in the other 12 games they played in the competition. This shows how strong they were defensively last season and one the biggest parts of this defence was Leonardo Bonucci.
The Italian centre-back was sold to their rivals, AC Milan, for 40million Euros earlier this summer. There is no doubt that he will be missed by the Turin-based side and here are five players who they can sign to replace the huge gap.
3Diego Godin
As Juventus want to go one step further in the coming seasons and actually win the Champions League, they need to sign the players that are capable of doing that.
Diego Godin of Atletico Madrid hasn’t actually won it but has appeared in the final on two occasions, both of which were won by Real Madrid. Under their transfer embargo, it would be hard to prise the Uruguayan away from Atletico without a huge transfer fee but would certainly be worth the money.
