We’re two games into the new Premier League season and have just three teams with maximum points. The usual suspects Manchester City and Liverpool find themselves in 5th and 6th positions. But, one team has failed to get going really and they are the reigning champions, Chelsea.
We take a look at five reasons Chelsea’s crown is under threat.
4. Loss of Key Players
Of Nemanja Matic, John Terry, Asmir Begovic, Dominic Solanke and Nathaniel Chalobah, only Matic could have been counted as a key player during his Chelsea days, but, the importance of Begovic as an outstanding backup goalie and presence of John Terry on the sidelines cannot be overestimated. The talent and enthusiasm brought in by Solanke and Chalobah would have been highly significant, if they weren’t sold.
