With news of a possible transfer ban coming into place for the London club they are exploring some interesting options, but an English man who will be cheap seems to be the way they are going. Dzeko is no stranger to the Premier League and in fact, he has two medals to his name; having won the Premier League in 2011/12 and 2013/14 with leaders Manchester City. He has a solid conversion rate in England as well; having scored 50 league goals in 130 appearances. He is comfortable in the air as much as he is comfortable with his feet and at 31 years old he brings plenty of experience but he will have a more prolonged career than Murray or Crouch.
He has nine goals in nineteen games for Roma and returned from the Christmas break by scoring a consolation goal against Atalanta. This signing would make more sense than any other.
