Everton and Fulham among clubs interested in signing 18-year-old Brazilian striker – Report

Date:

Fluminense have been extremely smart in the transfer market, especially in recent seasons. Their top talents have been playing across the top five European leagues and for world-class clubs as well.

One more Fluzao player sees himself on the radar of multiple Premier League clubs including Everton, Fulham and Manchester United. Abroad, Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen also show interest in securing the services of the talented teenager. It’s 18-year-old striker, Kaua Elias. That is as per Fichajes.

In 36 appearances for the Brazilian giants, the €8m-rated player has scored six goals and has two assists to boot as well. Freshly graduated from the Youth Team, local media has dubbed him the “pearl” of Fluminense.

What next for the player?

Elias’ stats via FBRef are further proof of why these top clubs are ready to go all-out on the striker. They say attack is the first line of defence and Elias plays that way. Ranking in the 97th percentile for successful take-ons per 90 and 99th percentile for tackles per 90.

He has a high volume of successful passes as well, which is an indication that he would likely excel in a false-9 role, dropping in deep and leaving space behind for his wingers to exploit.

His progressive passes put him in the 72nd percentile and the player is a bloody good carrier of the ball as well. As far as the clubs are concerned, Everton to start off, the uncertain futures of Beto and injury-prone Dominic Calvert-Lewin have cornered them into an area where signing an offensive player is a necessity.

As far as Fulham are concerned, Raul Jimenez is in brilliant form but in his absence, there aren’t many players who could emulate what he could do. Elias might offer something different that Fulham would like and that makes him an attractive prospect.

Man United, though, can truly avoid signing the player. They have an abundance of youth talent in the form of Ethan Wheatley and Victor Musa among others. The first team alone has young strikers including Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. Let’s see how things go on for the player and for the plethora of the clubs involved in the saga.
