AC Milan Extends 16-Year-Old Attacking Prodigy’s Stay Until 2027

Date:

Francisco Camarda has emerged as one of the brightest jewels in the AC Milan youth academy in the last few years. The 16-year-old youngster is among the most promising strikers in European football and can become a valuable asset for the Rossoneri in the coming years.

The young striker has also proven his quality with the Italian youth teams, where has been a regular with the U-17 side, and has already made his debut with the U-19 side. He became the youngest-ever scorer at this level with his brace in a match against Northern Ireland.

But it is his club career that has reached a major milestone today, as Calcio Mercato reports that AC Milan have officially announced Camarda’s renewal. Now, the striker has got his first professional contract with the Italian club, and this new contract will keep him at San Siro till 2027.

The Rossoneri officially announced this renewal on their website, and in their statement, highlighted how the youngster has grown up at the club’s youth academy since he was 7 years old, and also commended his great technical and goalscoring ability.

For now, Camarda will remain a part of the Milan Futuro and will play in the Serie C championship. This competition is going to kick-off on August 25 with Milan facing Virtus Entella in their first match.

However, the striker has already made his debut in the Serie A in November 2023 in a match against Fiorentina. He is expected to remain under Paulo Fonseca for the majority of the upcoming season and will get a lot of minutes and training sessions with the first team.

Meanwhile, officials at AC Milan will be sighing with relief with the completion of this renewal as some of the biggest clubs in Europe had shown an interest in the youngster. Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund were two such clubs.

However, Camarda’s bond with the Milanese club prevailed in the end, and he will continue to play with the club where he has been playing and growing for almost a decade now.
