Arnautovic Could Be Eyeing A Move Out of Britannia

Stoke ace Marko Arnautovic could be eyeing a shock move away from Britannia Stadium after his contract negotiations with the Potters broke down as the club are unwilling to meet up with Stoke’s wage demands.

Arnautovic, the club’s leading goalscorer has played a pivotal role in Stoke’s race for Continental football this season.

The ex-Inter Milan star has reportedly demanded a wage bill of £80,000 per week and considering his performances this season; he certainly deserves to earn a fee around that region but with Stoke’s current financial status, they can’t afford to pay players that much.

Arnautovic rejecting Stoke’s new offer could mean two things – it could mean that he’s looking to move back to a bigger side – it could also mean that he’s trying to get the Stoke City hierarchy to meet his demands.

But whatever the reason, the contract saga seems to have attracted a lot of attention to the Austria international with recent reports also linking him away from the Britannia.image

He appears to be under Laurent Blanc’s radar at PSG and with the January transfer window wide open he could seek a move out of the Premier League to ply his trade in a more convenient manner.

However, Arnautovic certainly can’t leave now, can he? Stoke are currently at the top of their game and a move away from the Britannia at a time like this would surely leave the fans as well as the Stoke players disgruntled.

Mark Hughes has introduced a beautiful brand of attacking football at Stoke, and although the Potters’ main men are rejects from Europe’s top clubs, they’ve definitely taken the Premier League by storm and can be compared like-for-like with any attacking Lineup in the League.

Arnautovic has been in impressive form this season scoring 7 goals thus far, but with just 18 months left on his current deal, Stoke remain confident about getting him to sign a new deal.
