Revealed: Arsenal V Everton Official Starting XIs

Date:

Today’s late kick-off features Arsenal as the Gunners welcome Everton to the Emirates Stadium in what is sure to be the cracker of a game.

Everton are without a Premier lLeague win in their past two games, and they will be looking to pull off an upset against title contenders Arsenal in a bid to move up to a European qualification spot on the table.

Following an unimpressive defeat to West Ham on the opening day of the season Arsenal have been on top form and find themselves at 2nd place on the premier league table.

Arsenal have won six of their last nine games in the Premier League, and they go into today’s fixture against Everton on the back of a three-game winning streak following Victories over Leicester City, Manchester United and Watford respectively.

The Gunners have also been impressive at home this season following recent emphatic victories against Manchester United and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

If Arsenal takes all three points against the Toffees, they will sit atop the Premier League table depending on results in other fixtures.

Everton, on the other hand, go into the game on the back of a 3-0 thumping at the hands of Manchester United last Saturday and they will be looking to give their fans something to smile about as they face the Gunners.

Everton have only won three Premier League games so far this season, and they sit in 9th place on the log.

The Toffees will be looking towards the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley to pose the attacking threat in today’s fixture.

Team News:

Wenger has introduced a couple of big changes for our game against the Toffees with, with squad rotation the order of the day ahead of the Champions League clash against Bayern.

Gabriel Paulista has returned to the team after being absent for the last two games, with the Brazilian defender coming into the team to replace Per Mertesacker.

Aaron Ramsey is out after picking up a hamstring injury against Bayern, and he is replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right wing.

Finally, Olivier Giroud has been rewarded for his recent prolificacy in front of goal with a starting slot up front, with Theo Walcott dropping to the bench.

Meanwhile for the away side Everton, Martinez has handed a start to former Barcelona starlet Gerard Develop, while Aaron Lennon also starts on the front lines with in-form Romelu Lukaku.

Arouna Kone, Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas remain on the bench.  Martinez will be looking to bring them on later in the game.
