In the early Saturday kick-off, Manchester United welcomed Tottenham to Old Trafford. The two title contenders did battle in a hotly contested affair between two tactically well-drilled teams. In the end, an 81st-minute winner from Anthony Martial was enough to separate the two teams. Manchester Unites now sit in 2nd place behind Manchester City, three points ahead of Tottenham.

Here are 3 talking points from Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Tottenham.

2Tottenham: the Harry Kane team?

Much was said when Pep Guardiola called Tottenham the ‘Harry Kane team,’ he was met with much backlash by the Spurs manager. But in the first game Harry Kane’s missed this season, what did Tottenham do? Put in their most uninspiring performance of the season.

Of course, one player doesn’t make a team, but the influence of Harry Kane seems to be just more than his goal output. He seems to give his teammates a whole load of confidence, inspiring them to be confident and take on teams. This season, Harry Kane has scored 13 goals in 12 games for Spurs, the man has scored 86 goals in 125 Premier League appearances. And without him, Tottenham only mustered 4 shots on target at Old Trafford.
