Everton claimed a striking 3:1 victory over Chelsea thanks to a hat-trick from Steven Naismith.
Steven netted first two goals in the opening phase and accomplished the hat-trick in the last minutes to hand José Mourinho’s side their second straight defeat.
The Toffees went in front in the 17th minute of opening face off as Galloway sent a beautiful cross to Naismith, who didn’t waste any time to nod it past Begovic.
Everton missed two clear opportunities to double their lead before Naismith grabbed his second of the night. Naismith unleashed a superb shot into the bottom left corner after taking a cross from Zouma.
The Scottish international completed his hat-trick in closing hour as Aaron Lennon passed the ball to Ross Barkley, who chipped it into Naismith. Keeping Zouma from slicing the ball in from a tight angle Naismith sent the ball behind Begovic.
The 28-year-old playmaker found the chance to shine at Goodison Park after Muhamed Besic sustained an injury in the early hour. It happens to be his first hat-trick in any intra-club clash.
The Blues are currently securing 5th slot on the Premier League rank-chart and will take on Swansea in their next BPL clash.
