Luke Shaw may finally be a constant feature in José Mourinho’s plans again, but make no doubt about it, Manchester United still need another left-back. Don’t get me wrong, Ashley Young has been exceptional in that position, but at 32 years of age, he doesn’t have many more months at the top level left in him. Plain and simple, Manchester United need a left-back and luckily for them, there are several options available.
Five left-backs Manchester United can sign.
4Lucas Digne
Just being a part of the best squad in Europe is most player’s dreams, but for others, being an INTEGRAL part of the biggest club in the world would trump that. Lucas Digne switched Paris for Barcelona in hope that he’d become one of the best in his position, instead, he’s played second fiddle to Jordi Alba for consecutive seasons. It’s not that he’s not good enough, it’s just that Jordi Alba’s place in the starting XI will never be uprooted. So to end this nightmare and birth a new star, a £25m bid from Manchester United must be made.
