Luke Shaw may finally be a constant feature in José Mourinho’s plans again, but make no doubt about it, Manchester United still need another left-back. Don’t get me wrong, Ashley Young has been exceptional in that position, but at 32 years of age, he doesn’t have many more months at the top level left in him. Plain and simple, Manchester United need a left-back and luckily for them, there are several options available.
Five left-backs Manchester United can sign.
1Danny Rose
It’s been a topsy-turvy season for Danny Rose thus far. Injuries have hampered his progress and a potential move outside of Tottenham. It’s been rumoured for months now that the 27-year-old has his hearts set on a move to Old Trafford especially. Mauricio Pochettino has done all he can to persuade the England international to stay in North London, but those conversations have not ended in the left-back signing a new contract. This is a deal that’s wanted by both parties and it’s only a matter of time before it comes to fruition.
