The 27-year-old has been courted in recent weeks as the man who will fire West Ham back up the table, and as he has 9 goals in 12 games, you can see why there is some hype around him. Usually an out and out striker but he is able to play just behind the main forward or out wide. This versatility could prove vital for the side. The Hammers will be hoping that he is an instant hit like Andrei Kanchelskis or Andrey Arshavin and not a flop like Diniyar Bilyaletdinov or Yuri Zhirkov.
