Trent Alexander-Arnold was burdened with the responsibility of being Liverpool’s first choice right-back for an entire season. At just 19 years of age that proved to be a tall order for the youngster. With Nathaniel Clyne developing into an injury-prone player, Liverpool’s right-back options for next season are looking scarce. If Jurgen Klopp wants to truly build upon a 4th placed finish and win the title, a new RB is needed this summer. We take a look at five RBs that Liverpool should target in the summer.
3Michail Antonio
How about instead of getting a foreign import, why not go for a home-grown product? And this wouldn’t just be any homegrown product; this is a player that’s incredibly versatile. Over the years, Antonio has played as a right-back, right wing-back, winger and striker for West Ham, and in each one of those positions, he’s excelled. Hard work, physicality and pace are the attributes needed to be a successful right-back at a top team.
so we have trent….clyne….Gomez….and now fabinho,,,who can all play right back if required….why do we anyone else again?…..don’t right stuff that is rubbish
