One of the oldest leagues in Europe, The Italian Serie A, is in its 116th Season. It has been one of the most competitive Leagues in European football, and yet, none of the previous Serie A winners or any other team were able to put on a decent fight against the 7th consecutive title chasing Juventus. But, things have changed drastically since the end of last season giving out a possible Serie A of old.

3. The Luciano Spalletti Effect – Inter Milan

Luciano Spalletti took AS Roma to within 4 points of Juventus, which in itself is a great achievement. And with Ivan Perisic’s transfer rumours almost dying out, Inter Milan, look to have addressed their main issues in retaining or keeping their key players happy and signing a hungry revenge seeking coach in Luciano Spalletti.

Inter Milan have opted for quantity and experience over big names. Inter Milan signed Valero, Skriniar and Vecino, all experienced Serie A performers, rather than going for big name players like they did (and flopped) with last season.
