It has been a busy summer of transfer activity for Leeds United so far with a host of new players arriving at Elland Road. The likes of Ergjan Alioski, Samuel Saiz Alonso, Vurnon Anita, Caleb Ekuban, Mateusz Klich, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Felix Wiedwald have been added to Thomas Christiansen’s squad as he looks to build on the foundations put in place by Garry Monk in The Championship next season.

However, despite spending a reasonable amount of money already this summer, it would be no surprise to see further additions before the end of the transfer window with another centre-back and a striker high on the list of priorities. We have taken a look at how United could potentially be lining up next season.

10Right-Back: Luke Ayling

Luke Ayling

The 25-year-old only joined Leeds last summer from Championship rivals Bristol City. He was Leeds’ first choice right-back for the majority of last season and made a total of 42 appearances. His versatility makes him a great member of the squad but ultimately his best position is at right-back, and that is where Christiansen is expected to utilise him next season.
