Manchester United are reportedly keen on bringing back Cristiano Ronaldo as he ponders over his future at Real Madrid.
The 30-year-old Portuguese international’s future has been the subject of intense speculation from the last few weeks, with reports in Spain suggesting that the forward is not happy about some of the moves made by club this summer.
According to Metro, Ronaldo’s ties with new Real manager Rafael Benitez have become more strained and he the former Chelsea and Liverpool boss is considering to give forward’s place in the team to his blue-eyed boy Gareth Bale next season.
And the Red Devils, who have been closely monitoring his situation, are considering to exploit the opportunity to re-sign their former no. 7 for £66.5million.
Ronaldo remained one of the most consistent performers during Real’s disappointing last season and scored 60 goals in 46 games in all competitions.
The Portuguese scored 118 goals in 292 appearances in six seasons from 2003-09 for United before joining Real for a record £80-million fee.
He has scored 225 goals for the La Liga giants club in 200 appearances in six seasons and has three years left on his current contract with the club.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are also keen to sign the Portuguese superstar and reportedly readying to launch an audacious €125-million bid to land him.
Spanish publication Marca believes that if Ronaldo decides to leave Santiago Bernabéu, he would be more interested in making a lucrative move to the French club, instead of rejoining United.
