We’re getting very close to the Manchester Derby – a game which is probably one of the most anticipated this season. In any other Premier League season the top of the league would be a lot tighter than the current 8 point gap between 1st and 2nd.
The main reason why the Manchester clubs are currently occupying the top two spots is due to the number of world-class players they have. Players such as Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) and Paul Pogba (Manchester United) are key players in their teams. However, these players come to the club with a hefty fee and, as a result, have led to both clubs having some of the most expensive squads in football.
