Manchester United bounced back to the winning track by recording a 3:1 victory over arch-rival Liverpool thanks to Delay Blind, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial’s worthy contributions.
Blind grabbed first goal in the first half; Herrera then doubled the lead in the early second phase and Martial finally sealed the win for Red Devils towards the end of the show.
Having missed an early chance, Devils finally managed to take first lead in 49th minute. Blind got a free kick and making most of it he rolled the ball into the opponent’s box with a brilliant first-time finish. Just after the first goal; Schweinsteiger missed another chance as he failed to hit the target accurately.
United got their lead doubled in the 70th minute when kicking a penalty shot Herrera hammered the ball afar Mignolet’s dive.
Martial finally offered the match winning stroke in the late second phase putting victory beyond the Reds’ reach. Isolating Skrtel and cutting inside the 19-year-old French international finally hit the ball between the sticks.
