Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal is reportedly eying on West Ham Aaron Cresswell to surrogate their prolific left back Luck Shaw.
Shaw, 20, has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a double leg fracture in United’s Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven.
A trusted Britain news source The Sun claims that United has been considering Cresswell as a ‘top target’ for winter transfer window to replace crocked Shaw.
The Red Devils dealt a massive blow last week when Shaw sustained a horrifying leg injury in their Champions League group match against PSV. The left back was immediately taken to a hospital, where his double broken leg had been identified.
Cresswell, 25, who had heavily been linked with Chelsea or United transfer via summer transfer window, joined the Hammers last year and got the contract extended for further five years this summer. The former Ipswich Town defender immediately managed to establish himself as a splendid Premier League full-back through his outstanding show at Upton Park.
United are expected to table a £15m bid to cut the deal for the Liverpool-born player.
