Manchester United kicked off their 2017/18 Premier League campaign in the best possible way with a 4-0 win at home to West Ham United. Jose Mourinho will have been delighted with his side’s performance as goals from Romelu Lukaku in either side of half-time and late strikes from Anthony Martial, and Paul Pogba were enough to claim all three points.
It was always going to be a tough ask for Slaven Bilic’s side, and not many teams will come away from Old Trafford with any points this season.

6Nemanja Matic – 9
Many critics questioned Mourinho’s decision to sign Matic from Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer for a hefty fee, but his performance in this game proved why he is worth the money. He dominated in the middle of the park throughout and provided vital protection to United’s back four which allowed the likes of Pogba to flourish.
