Manchester United host Football League 1 side Sheffield United in what is expected to be a one sided affair, but considering United’s shaky form this season an upset might be on the cards here.

The Red Devils seem to be back to their best following a 2-1 victory over Swansea in their last Premier League outing but prior to the result against the Swans they were winless in 5 games.

Van Gaal will be hoping to do the expected today and beat at Old Trafford.

Sheffield goes into this game off the back of a 3-2 defeat against Peterborough United but prior to that match, they were on a four game winning streak so we can expect some good football from Nigel Adkins men.

A loss for United will see them out of contention for the FA Cup, something that will definitely not go down well with the United fans.

Van Gaal knows this game is a must win considering the difference in the quality of the two sides, at the very least United should come out with a 2-0 victory here but we’ll have to wait and see what Van Gaal has in store for us today.

Manchester United Confirmed  XI: De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Borthwick-Jackson, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Herrera, Mata, Martial, Rooney.

Manchester United subs: Romero, McNair, Varela, Lingard, Pereira, Memphis, Keane.

Sheffield United Confirmed XI: Long, Brayford, Basham, Coutts, Sharp, Collins, Woolford, Sammon, McEveley, Edgar, Hammond.

Sheffield United Confirmed subs: Howard, Flynn, Baxter, Done, Campbell-Ryce, Reed, Adams
