Manchester United will face perennial heavyweights Tottenham Hotspurs in the English Premier League campaign opener at Old Trafford in Greater Manchester on Saturday morning.
The two clubs sat at a distance of just six points by the end of last season as Manchester United edged the North Londoners for the final Champions League spot.
Analysts believe they won’t be that close this year, as Manchester United have managed to widen the talent gap between two sides by signing the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay.
Tottenham did sign Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid but overall maintained a low profile in an otherwise booming transfer market.
