Premier League: Team of the Season

The Premier League is the most prestigious and toughest league in the world. It has the best players from around the world playing against each other. Getting into the best PL 11 is difficult but the following players have managed to get into the PL Team Of The Season.

GK – Dean Henderson (Sheffield United)

The Manchester United loanee has performed extremely well this season with Sheffield United. With Jordan Pickford not performing well, he might also start as Englands No.1 goalkeeper. He will also give strong competition to David De Gea when he goes back to Old Trafford.

RB – Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool)

Arguably the best Right-Back in the world, at only 21 years old, Trent has 4 goals and 13 assists this season. His pin-point crosses and free-kicks make him a world class player and one of the first selections in the Liverpool team.

CB – Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool)

Like his teammate Trent, Virgil is also one of the best players in his position. Solid in defence and calm on the ball. He also has incredible vision and passing abilities. He is one of the main factors for Liverpool’s recent success.

CB – Caglar Soyuncu (Leicester)

Soyuncu has had an amazing season with Leicester. He is extremely solid in defence and has great heading and passing abilities. He has been the second best defender in the league this season.

LB – Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Bukayo Saka has been involved in 16 goals this season.

The 18 year old has had an amazing breakthrough season at Arsenal. He has immediately made himself an important part of the Arsenal team. He is extremely versatile and has been deployed at right-wing and left midfield positions under Mikel Arteta. He recently signed a new 4 year contract at Arsenal and was given the prestigious number 7 shirt for next season.

CM – Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

Kevin De Bruyne has been the best midfielder in the world this calendar year. He has 11 goals and 19 assists this season. He looks likely to go on to break Theirry Henry’s record of 20 assists in a single season.

DM – Fabinho (Liverpool)

Liverpool

The Brazilian has been a constant and recurring name in the Liverpool team sheet. His rocket shot against Crystal Palace might be the best goal of the season.

AM – Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

Bruno Fernandes

A 55 million euro bargain. Although having joined the team mid-season, he has been an instant game changer and has brought life into the Manchester United squad. His pairing with Paul Pogba makes their midfield world class.

LW – Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Although a striker, Aubameyang has been playing as a winger under Arteta this season, but this doesn’t stop him from putting in world class performances for his team. He has 20 goals this season and is fighting for the golden boot.

ST – Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)

The 33 year old has been Leicester City’s star player consistently for the past few years. He has 23 goals this season and is the front runner for the golden boot.

RW – Adama Traore (Wolves)

The former Barcelona man has been Wolves’ star player this season. He has 4 goals and 9 assists in the league. His blistering pace makes playing against him a nightmare. He is being linked with several big clubs for next season.
