Fabinho vs Manchester City
Liverpool hosted the defending champions Manchester City which was an indirectly 6-pointer game rather than a normal 3-point game. Andrew Robertson found Sadio Mane in acres of space and let him through. Mane saw John Stones covering the space of right-back. Thus, there was only one winner and that was Liverpool’s number 10. He launched the ball inside but didn’t find any red shirt. Man City cleared their box but did so very poorly. Fabinho found the ball rolling to him slowly and he sent it back into the net with a bullet of a strike.
Sadio Mane vs Norwich City
Sadio Mane has scored some brilliant goals for the Reds during his career at Liverpool and this was another special one. For me, this goal was very reminiscent of goals scored by Ibrahimovic. Jordan Henderson found the ball at the half and launched a long ball for Sadio Mane. The left-winger acrobatically collected the ball and shot it past Tim Krul. His goal let Liverpool win the game 1-0.
Trent Alexander-Arnold vs Chelsea
Alexander Arnold has scored some belter goals for Liverpool, especially David Beckham like free kicks. When Liverpool traveled to Stamford Bridge, Trent got another chance to show his finesse. This time he chose to fire instead of curving a ball. Salah initiated the free-kick by rolling the ball backward which opened the free space for the right-back. He didn’t disappoint and shot it at the far side of the goalkeeper.
Mo Salah vs Manchester United
Salah doesn’t score many against Manchester United but if he has to, then it has to be in the title-winning season. He collected the ball around the halfway line and ran towards David DeGea. Daniel James was the only one who was tracking Salah. Both the pacy wingers went toe-to-toe but James failed to take the ball from the Egyptian who slid it past static David DeGea. Mo Salah vs Watford
Oxlade Chamberlain collected the ball from Alexander-Arnold and passed it to Sadio Mane. Salah was waiting on the far post but Mane opted to pass it to Origi who was making his run into the box. Origi should have scored it the first time but he didn’t. His poor shot luckily went to Salah who was still at the far post. The Egyptian king unconventionally flicked the ball into the net leaving the Watford defence completely perplexed.
