Tottenham Hotspur are set to welcome back two key members of the club’s attacking ranks for their upcoming meeting with West Ham United. As much was confirmed by Ange Postecoglou on Friday, Spurs’ headmaster having pointed towards Son Heung-min and Richarlison as the pair in question.
Attackers Son and Richarlison have of course been forced into respective spells on the sidelines of late. In the case of the former, the South Korean played no part in any of Tottenham’s three fixtures leading into the international break. This came owing to a hamstring injury.
Brazilian international Richarlison, meanwhile, has not taken to the pitch since all the way back in August. This comes after the former Everton standout suffered a calf injury, which subsequently proved to be more serious than first hoped, during a training session in north London.
Spurs are primed to mark their post-international break return to action on Saturday afternoon, in a London derby meeting with West Ham United. Speaking during his pre-match press conference, the subject of the wellbeing of both Son and Richarlison, in turn, was quickly put to the aforementioned Ange Postecoglou.
And, in a boost for all associated with the Lilywhites, the club’s headmaster went on to confirm that both players will be at his disposal to face West Ham:
“Yes, they are both good to go.”
Tottenham will head into tomorrow’s capital clash with sights set on a bounce-back result. This comes after the north Londoners saw a five-game winning streak snapped in their final fixture leading into the international break. After racing out to a two-goal lead in a Premier League meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion on October 6th, Postecoglou’s troops collapsed in alarming fashion, en route to an eventual 3-2 defeat. As much leaves Spurs sitting in a lowly 9th in the table in England’s top-flight, with just ten points from seven games.
