UCL 2017/18: AS Roma 3-0 Chelsea: Combined XI

After their enthralling 3-3 encounter two weeks ago, the footballing world was eagerly anticipating the next instalment of AS Roma vs Chelsea, and the two teams delivered an equally entertaining spectacle. Two world class goals from Stephan El Shaarawy and a stunner from Diego Perotti proved to be too much for Chelsea as they conceded 1^st position in Group C to Roma, through a 3-0 defeat.

10CB: Caesar Azpilicueta

The Spaniard is the only Chelsea defender that can say he wasn’t to be blamed for his team’s collapse. Despite playing on the left side of a back three, Azpilicueta acquitted himself excellently in the face of being overloaded continuously by Roma attackers.
