UCL 2017/18: AS Roma 3-0 Chelsea: Combined XI

After their enthralling 3-3 encounter two weeks ago, the footballing world was eagerly anticipating the next instalment of AS Roma vs Chelsea, and the two teams delivered an equally entertaining spectacle. Two world class goals from Stephan El Shaarawy and a stunner from Diego Perotti proved to be too much for Chelsea as they conceded 1^st position in Group C to Roma, through a 3-0 defeat.

The 34-year-old shielded his back four flawlessly, not allowing them to feel exposed at any point in the game. Despite his old age, De Rossi tirelessly covered passing lanes, pressed Chelsea and committed himself to duels in the defensive third.
