United Set To Trigger Neymar’s Release Clause

Date:

Manchester United are set to trigger Neymar’s £140m release clause as they look to invest massively upfront, according to reports from French media outlet Le10 Sport.

United made an audacious attempt to sign the Brazilian superstar earlier in the summer, but Barcelona quickly turned down the bid that gave the impression that Neymar was untouchable.

But it appears that LVG is ready to break the bank as he’s on the lookout for a marquee signing that would take United back to the pinnacle of English football and Neymar seems to be the right man for the enormous role.

Although talks with Barcelona are not expected to open up until the end of the season, Manchester United fans can hope for the best as the United hierarchy looks ready to spend as much as possible to make United a force to be reckoned with once more.

United have lacked a certain degree of skill and creativity up front in recent times, and they might just be on the verge of pulling off their biggest deal yet.

Neymar in the Premier League would undoubtedly shake things up a little as he’d bring with him the eccentricity, skill and power that he currently expresses in the La Liga.

One major motivation for Neymar to join the Old Trafford setup is the fact that he would be the leading man in the United squad and having a player of his Calibre at United could fire them on to the heights they once attained under Sir Alex Ferguson.

A move to United would also be beneficial to Neymar himself as it would pave the way for him to snatch the Ballon d’Or award from the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

These are certainly exciting times for fans of the Red Devils as the prospect of Neymar at United would draw their focus from the team’s poor performances this season or probably not.

Although there is some change looming over Old Trafford as United are finally playing the type of football they were associated with under Sir Alex, it remains to be seen if they can build on their recent performances and mount a serious title challenge.
