The Colombian attacker is going through a difficult moment in his career at Chelsea and is quite unhappy with the opportunities he’s getting.
Falcao is on loan from Monaco and Blues have the option to get him on a permanent basis. However, that seems highly unlikely at the moment after “El Tigre” scored only one goal in 11 games this season for the Blues thus far. The 29-year-old striker suffered a muscle injury, though, and remained sidelined for last seven games, but his lack of playing time and form are evident. It is quite apparent that the Premier League style doesn’t fit him well, and Falcao proved that point in his first stint in England with Manchester United a year ago.
Radamel Falcao, Once a deadly striker, came to Britain last year when Man United signed him on loan from Monaco with an option to buy at the end of the campaign. However, after only six months, Van Gaal made it clear that he isn’t interested in buying the Colombian starlet after he failed to leave an impact on the English top flight. He scored only four goals, severely lacked in fitness and struggled to cope with the Premier League’s intensity and dynamics. This season, Mourinho gave him a chance at the beginning, but Falcao’s ineffectiveness continued, and the Portuguese manager had to bench him for Diego Costa and even Loic Remy.
Falcao’s struggles began when he suffered an ACL injury during a French Cup match while in Monaco. After missing the 2014 World Cup, the former Atlético Madrid striker didn’t want to play for the French side again, seeking the job elsewhere. His market value proved to be a stumbling block in attempts from clubs abroad to sign him and instead, Monaco opted to loan him out and eventually get rid of an unsatisfied player and his enormous wage.
A prolific forward will see his current deal with Chelsea and probably will not go back to Monaco, as he already stated. Numerous clubs in Europe is interested in Colombian goal-scoring machine, and some of them are the leading teams in their respective countries.
Falcao has expressed his desire to continue playing for a high-profile club and clearly thinks that Monaco isn’t his destination anymore. The latest rumor around Falcao is saying that he could change the continent and leave for the Mexican Club America. One of the biggest teams in America’s is very interested in bringing him in, but at the end, it will be up to Falcao. Monaco wouldn’t mind seeing his back and will try to cash in on him.
With 29 years of age, time is starting to tick away for the Colombian professional even he undoubtedly still possesses all the qualities required to play in the top 5 European Leagues.
Keeping in view his experience with Manchester United as well as Chelsea, it is strongly believed that he will not pursue his career in England.
