For those who don’t know, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is one of the brightest young talents in English football. Many say the 22-year-old has the ability to be rivalling the exploits of Marcus Rashford and Dele Alli if given the chance. But such is the youth policy at Chelsea that the midfielder hasn’t been given first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge, forcing him to travel to Crystal Palace for playing time.
In his loan move, Loftus-Cheek has made 21 appearances for the Eagles, directly contributing three goals, created 23 chances and completed 82% of his passes. The sky’s the limit for the 22-year-old so he must ensure he capitalises on this momentum going into next season.
Here’s where Ruben Loftus-Cheek should go on loan next season.

Sam Allardyce has done well to steady the ship at Goodison Park since the sacking of Ronald Koeman. The experienced manager has implemented a long-ball, resolute, organised and hard to beat style of play at Everton.
This type of discipline and organisation would better Ruben Loftus-Cheek as a player. It’s unclear as to where Loftus-Cheek would play in a Toffees side, as he has the ability to play as a box-to-box midfielder, holding midfielder or as a central attacking midfielder.
As a result of playing under Big Sam, Loftus-Cheek’s positional awareness in the defensive phase would improve immensely. Once he works on his off the ball work rate, he’d turn into the complete midfielder. Sam Allardyce is notorious for improving young players and he’d have a very hands-on approach with the midfielder.
