It’s been evidently clear since the departure of Pepe Reina that Liverpool has needed a world-class goalkeeper. Both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have proved themselves to be average from the get-go. But in the UEFA Champions League Final, the latter showed that he was never fit to wear the Liverpool shirt in the first place. If the Reds are ever to progress under Jurgen Klopp, a new keeper is of the utmost importance this summer.

Here are 5 goalkeepers that Liverpool should aim to sign in the summer.

Alisson Becker

Rumours have pursued the Brazilian all season as his performances for Roma have only gotten better with time. The 25-year-old kept a stunning 15 clean sheets in 34 Serie A appearances while averaging 2.71 saves per game.

Alisson was an integral component in Roma’s journey to the semi-finals of the UCL. Alisson’s 6’4” presence at the back would bring back reliability to Anfield, the total opposite to what Karius has provided recently.
