Tottenham Hotspur are no longer a laughing stock in the Premier League. For the last two seasons, they were perhaps the best club in England, but have nothing to show for it. Losing points here and there, they lost their best chance to win the Premier League—twice.
And now, with Manchester City being at their rampant best, it seems unlike for Tottenham to ever make a claim for the top spot of the Premiership—at least for the foreseeable future. Currently, they are at 6thon the table and are 22 points behind league-leaders City and could lose out on a top 4 finish this season.

2City are too strong
Speaking of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola’s men are just too damn strong. After a trophyless year in the Premier League, the Spaniard was deemed as overrated by many and after he spent so much money last summer, everyone began calling him a cheque-book manager.
But here’s the thing: Mourinho has also spent a fortune, but his side are nothing compared to Guardiola’s men. No club in England are anywhere near to the level of City—who are now playing according to the vision of the former Barcelona manager.
