2Maximillian Meyer
The Schalke midfielder is gradually establishing himself in Joachim Low’s plans. He may just be 21, but Germany’s philosophy over the years has been, if you’re good enough, you’re old enough. And Max Meyer is certainly good enough. Meyer has worked himself up through the German youth scene, playing for every age group since the U15s.
Now he’s graduated to the senior scene and already has 4 caps. The fact he regularly starts for Schalke has only quickened his development and increased his chances of shining at next year’s World Cup.
