Eddie Nketiah Arsenal

In the 4th round of the Caraboa Cup, the Premier League Arsenal hosted Championship side, Norwich City to North London. The 4th round is the stage of the competition that nobody wants to exit from because the next round is the quarter-finals. In a match that was meant to be routine for the Gunners, they needed extra time to scrape past the Norfolk team. A brace from Eddie Nketiah was just about enough to see Arsène Wenger’s men through to the Quarter-Finals of the Caraboa Cup.

Here are the 3 standout performers from Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Norwich City.

2Josh Murphy

Josh-Murphy

The 22-year-old was simply brilliant for the Canaries. His tireless work rate and willingness to run down the wide channels allowed Norwich to play on the counter easily. Murphy’s pace consistently troubled Arsenal’s worrisome defence all game, stretching the back three to their limits.

His several runs from the wing inwards completely confused Arsenal’s back three as no one seemed to know who to pick him up. It was that inward movement that led to the first goal, as Josh Murphy was played through on goal by James Maddison. As soon as he came off in the 72nd minute, Norwich lost their edge in attack, and it ultimately led to their demise.
