In the 4th round of the Caraboa Cup, the Premier League Arsenal hosted Championship side, Norwich City to North London. The 4th round is the stage of the competition that nobody wants to exit from because the next round is the quarter-finals. In a match that was meant to be routine for the Gunners, they needed extra time to scrape past the Norfolk team. A brace from Eddie Nketiah was just about enough to see Arsène Wenger’s men through to the Quarter-Finals of the Caraboa Cup.

Here are the 3 standout performers from Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Norwich City.

Eddie Nketiah Arsenal

As the youngest player to score for Arsenal since 2013, Eddie Nketiah could do no wrong tonight. The teenager literally scored with his first touch of the game and scored the winning goal in extra time. On top of scoring a brace, the 18-year-old created several chances for his teammates. Every time he picked up the ball, he looked dangerous and presented himself as Arsenal’s only attacking threat. The youngster galvanised the team and allowed Arsenal to play free-flowing football for the first time in the game.

Just to put things in perspective, Eddie Nketiah wasn’t even born when Arsène Wenger arrived at the club in 1996. In fact, he’s the first Arsenal player ever to score a competitive goal for the club that wasn’t born when Arsène Wenger first came. And with performances like that, I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of Eddie Nketiah in the near future.
