Mohamed Salah Liverpool Champions League

The Egyptian winger has been in scintillating form this season. In fact, he’s scored 15 goals in 20 appearances for the Reds. Against Chelsea, he continued that form because of his manager’s instructions. The 25-year-old had been instructed to run at Gary Cahill all game down the right. And if he wasn’t running at him, Salah was making runs in behind him. The Englishman couldn’t live with Salah’s pace or trickery, and that inability to track Salah led to Liverpool’s opener.

Throughout the game, Salah completed 4 successful take-ons, created 4 chances and scored 1 goal. On the other hand, Gary Cahill could only successfully make 1 tackle all game. It was only in the second half when Conte instructed Alonso to tuck in next to him that Cahill got the cover he needed.
