The Premier League is stronger than ever, and we expect plenty of excitement on both top and bottom of the table going into the next season. For some teams on this list, the relegation battle will begin with the start of the season, and although it’s too early to talk about it, these clubs could find it hard to secure their Premiership status.

The Clarets are in a slightly better position than Hull, but they will probably struggle throughout the season as it was the case in 2014/15 when they finished 19th on the league table with just 33 points against their name. They are looking stronger now, and should easily reach 40 points, but will it be enough – remains to be seen.

Burnley reinforced their squad with Jon Flanagan from Liverpool, Johann Gudmundsson from Charlton, and most recently Steven Defour from Anderlecht for a club record fee of £7.5 million. Sean Dyche lost Joey Barton to Rangers but is pleased with new players. The club is showing the ambition to stay in the top flight but have a long struggle ahead.
