For all the wondrous attacking football Liverpool played last year, they still only managed to finish fourth in the Premier League. Granted they reached the UEFA Champions League Final, but with the starting XI they’ll have for the 2018/19 season, they could do the treble.
Here’s how Liverpool could line-up for the 2018/19 season.
8RCM: Adam Lallana
The Englishman had an on and off season in 2017/18 but now that he’s fully fit, he’ll be integral to Liverpool’s attacking play. Lallana would act as the link between midfield and attack. However, off the ball, Lallana’s work rate would be critical to the implementation of Jürgen Klopp’s gegenpressing system.
