It has been a busy summer of transfer activity for Leeds United so far with a host of new players arriving at Elland Road. The likes of Ergjan Alioski, Samuel Saiz Alonso, Vurnon Anita, Caleb Ekuban, Mateusz Klich, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Felix Wiedwald have been added to Thomas Christiansen’s squad as he looks to build on the foundations put in place by Garry Monk in The Championship next season.

However, despite spending a reasonable amount of money already this summer, it would be no surprise to see further additions before the end of the transfer window with another centre-back and a striker high on the list of priorities. We have taken a look at how United could potentially be lining up next season.

Vurnon Anita

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder joined Leeds earlier this summer from newly-promoted Premier League side Newcastle United on a three-year deal. He certainly looks like he could be a smart addition to Christiansen’s squad ahead of next season and arrived for a reasonable fee.

He made 27 appearances for Newcastle in their promotion winning campaign last time out and will be hoping for the same outcome with Leeds in the upcoming campaign.
