Manchester United kicked off their 2017/18 Premier League campaign in the best possible way with a 4-0 win at home to West Ham United. Jose Mourinho will have been delighted with his side’s performance as goals from Romelu Lukaku in either side of half-time and late strikes from Anthony Martial, and Paul Pogba were enough to claim all three points.
It was always going to be a tough ask for Slaven Bilic’s side, and not many teams will come away from Old Trafford with any points this season.

8Phil Jones – 8
Many were surprised that Mourinho opted to include the 25-year-old centre-half in his starting line-up ahead of new signing Victor Lindelof who joined the club from Benfica earlier this summer. However, Bailly and Jones are showing signs that they could be a very solid partnership this season. There is no doubt that if Jones continues to perform like this, Lindelof will struggle to force his way into United’s team.
