Real Madrid can earn around €27m for player they sold in 2022

Date:

Real Madrid have been one of the best-run football clubs in the world in the last few years. The Merengue club’s policy of not spending too much on any of their transfer targets has played a large part in making it a very healthy entity financially. Similarly, they have also saved a lot of money by parting with players who were no longer needed in the team at a good time.

This was especially the case with some of the most high-profile names at the White club, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Casemiro, Raphael Varane, etc.

Now, there is a player who left Real Madrid in 2022, but whose potential transfer this summer can leave a significant amount of money in the Spanish champions’ coffer.

This player is Takefusa Kubo, who, according to MARCA, is close to joining the Premier League side, Liverpool. The Scousers are ready to pay his €60 million release clause to get him from the Spanish side, Real Sociedad.

The Arne Slot-led side is getting close to reaching an agreement with the Japanese international, under which they will commit to paying his release clause to get him into their team. The forward himself is keen to join the English side, and will have an annual salary of around €12 million.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will also benefit greatly from such a transfer, as they kept a right to get 50% of any future fee when they sold him to La Reale in July 2022 for €6.5 million. Thus, the Merengues can end up getting around €27 million from such an operation.

If this move materializes in the coming days, this will be a very suitable market movement for Los Blancos. The European champions have already ruled out getting Kubo back in the team this summer.
