Scottish Premiership Team of the Season So Far

Celtic vs. Kilmarnock

With the Scottish Premiership now well underway, we look at the best of the bunch. Celtic may be running away with the title as a whole, but which of the individual talents has shone the brightest in the last eight weeks?

Let’s take a look at the Scottish Premiership team of the season so far:

2. ST: Moussa Dembele (Celtic)

It’s difficult to know where to start with Moussa Dembele. However, he began slowly in the pre-season. He was struggling to oust Leigh Griffiths from the team and didn’t overly impress with his few sub appearances.

Griffiths got a nasty injury, and Frenchman Dembele hasn’t looked back. He shot to stardom with a hat-trick in the Old Firm game against Rangers, the first Celtic player to do so since 1986.

He seems to thrive in big games, and that’s what Celtic players should be all about. His two goals against Manchester City were predator-like. Dembele’s all-round play is still a bit raw, but he’s showing great promise with his new club after signing from Fulham for £500k.

Moussa’s nomination for UEFA’s Golden Boy award justifies his place on this list.
