1. ST: Louis Moult (Motherwell)

Except for Moussa Dembele, strikers haven’t hit the ground running in Scotland. However, one man who is picking up a bit of form is Motherwell’s Louis Moult.

The Englishman came back from injury against Hamilton in the Lanarkshire derby. And his contribution was to be four goals. It has given him cult-hero status at Fir Park, but it’s no less than his quality deserves.

Louis is perhaps one of the most clinical strikers in the country. Motherwell doesn’t create too many chances, but Moult’s positioning is one of the best in the league, and he knows where the back of the net is when he gets a chance.

He was key to Motherwell’s top six performance last season, and if the Steelmen have plans to gatecrash the top four this season, they’ll need their top marksman to be on the money again.
