Scottish Premiership Team of the Season So Far

Celtic vs. Kilmarnock

With the Scottish Premiership now well underway, we look at the best of the bunch. Celtic may be running away with the title as a whole, but which of the individual talents has shone the brightest in the last eight weeks?

Let’s take a look at the Scottish Premiership team of the season so far:

9. CB: Anthony O’Connor (Aberdeen)

There’s no doubting the improvement that Anthony O’Connor has already made to the Aberdeen back-line this season.

Aberdeen have already kept four clean sheets since the start of the season. Added to that, they’ve only shipped three goals in six games, with one being a penalty. O’Connor has come in and comprehensively steadied the defensive ship at Pittodrie.

Anthony’s one-on-one battles have mostly ended with him dominating strikers off the ball. He brings a composure to Aberdeen’s defence, but also has a no-nonsense approach to the game. Without him, the Dons may not have been considered as Celtic’s main rivals to the title.
