Scottish Premiership Team of the Season So Far

Celtic vs. Kilmarnock

With the Scottish Premiership now well underway, we look at the best of the bunch. Celtic may be running away with the title as a whole, but which of the individual talents has shone the brightest in the last eight weeks?

Let’s take a look at the Scottish Premiership team of the season so far:

6. LM: James Maddison (Aberdeen)

It’s not difficult to see why James Maddison made to the list. In only a few weeks since joining at Pittodrie, Maddison is already considered Aberdeen’s best player.

The prolific midfielder has added a new dimension to the Dons’ attack. Before he came to the club, Aberdeen loved to get the ball out wide. Jonny Hayes and Niall McGinn were the main threats on either side, with the midfield known for its combative style.

Maddison is a different type of winger. He’ll get the ball and drive into the midfield. With his technical ability, he’s able to find the right pass at the right time. His stunning free-kick against Rangers was just a sign of the youngster’s ability on the ball.

However, he is only on loan from Norwich, so Aberdeen fans shouldn’t get too excited at the thought of his improvement.
