David De Gea is keen to extend his contract at Old Trafford after his dream move to Spanish side having collapsed on Monday.
De Gea was on the verge of switching to La Liga club Real Madrid on Monday’s European deadline, but the mega deal fell through at the last minute due to the miscommunication between United and Madrid, which led to the paperwork not being filed in time.
The Spanish goalkeeper hasn’t featured for Manchester United in the new season due to Louis van Gaal’s concerns over the keeper’s frame of mind amid the constant speculations linking him with a move to Real Madrid. However, now the 24-year-old has been included in United’s squad for the Champions League campaign.
According to the Spanish sports newspaper AS, De Gea has advised his agent Jorge Mendes to convince the English gaints to extend his contract.
